Við leitum til listafólks á Austurlandi

BRAS, menningarhátíð barna og ungmenna, óskar eftir samstarfi við listafólk á Austurlandi til að bjóða upp á list- og menningarviðburði eða vinnustofur fyrir börn og ungmenni á sjöttu BRAS hátíðinni sem fer fram í haust.

Þema ársins 2023 er hringurinn og nafn hátíðarinnar „Hringavitleysa“. Hringurinn, sem form, hefur hvorki upphaf né endi, allt fer í hringi, við fæðumst lifum og deyjum. Tíska, listir, jörðin, sólin og tunglið, hringrásarhagkerfi og svo margt fleira tengist hringnum með einum eða öðrum hætti. Nafnið er tilkomið af því að við ætlum að sletta ærlega úr klaufunum og hafa gleðina, sköpunarkraftinn og lífsviljann að leiðarljósi.

Í ár verður minning Svavars Péturs Eysteinssonar / Prins Póló, heiðruð sérstaklega en hann hannaði merki BRAS og var einstakur listamaður þar sem gleðin, hið óvænta og hversdagslega skipuðu svo stóran sess í listsköpun hans.

Mikilvægt er að listafólkið hafi reynslu af því að vinna með og fyrir börn.
Farið verður eftir neðangreindum atriðum:

• Umsækjendur senda inn vel formaða hugmynd að verkefni, þar sem tilgreina skal: aldur þátttakenda, staðsetningu/staðsetningar, fjölda barna/ungmenna í hverju verkefni, lengd verkefnis, tíma innan ársins og hvað annað er máli skiptir.
• Greitt er samkvæmt taxta Listar fyrir alla; 40 þúsund fyrir hálfan dag og 80 þúsund fyrir heilan dag.
• Greitt er fyrir akstur.
• Hægt er að semja um hlutdeild í efniskostnaði.

Tekið skal fram að við val á verkefnum  verður tekið tillit til aldursdreifingar, dreifingar milli byggðarkjarna og að listgreinarnar sem boðið verður uppá séu sem fjölbreyttastar.

Umsóknum skal skilað eigi síðar en 20. júní.

Open call to artists in the East

BRAS, a cultural festival for children and young people, is looking for cooperation with artists in the East to offer art and cultural events, or workshops for children and young people at the sixth BRAS festival that will take place this autumn.

The theme of 2023 is the circle, and the name of the festival is „Hringavitleysa„. The circle, as a form, has neither a beginning nor an ending, the circle is all around us. We are born, we live, and we die. Fashion, art, the earth, the sun and the moon, the circular economy and so much more are connected to the circle in one way or another. The name comes from the fact that we are going to have fun where creativity, and the joy of life will lead us the way.

This year, the memory of Svavar Pétur Eysteinsson/Prins Póló will be specially honored as he designed the BRAS logo and was a unique artist where joy, the unexpected, and everyday life, had such a big place in his art.

The artists must have experience working with and for children.
The following points will be observed:

• Applicants need to send in a well-formed idea for a project, which must specify: the age of participants, location/locations, how many children/teenagers can participate in each project, duration of the project, the time within the year, and everything else that is considered important.
• Payment is made according to rates of List fyrir alla/Arts for all; 40 thousand IKRfor half a day and 80 thousand IKR for a full day.
• BRAS will pay for driving costs.
• Sharing of material costs can be negotiated.

It should be noted that when selecting the projects, age distribution, and distribution between villages and towns, will be considered, and that the art forms that will be offered are as diverse as possible.

Applications must be submitted no later than June 20th.
